Phew !!! Made it.

Damn! That was a long, long switchback.

Almost thought it was never gonna end.

Put myself into a mindless trudge. One foot after the other. Just keep goin’.

Ya couldn’t veer off course. There wasn’t any. Straight ahead. Extremely vertical on the left.

And only slightly less vertical on my right. ‘Cept it was DOWN. One wrong step and you’d roll and tumble forever.

I stepped off the switchback trail and exited the ramp. Back on good ol’ “FLAT” terra firma.

I turn back to my right, and look out East.

If I thought the view was awesome at the midpoint up the escarpment, this really blows the lid off.

Higher is better. Now I know why they build skyscrapers.

“My candy bar!!!”. “And a drink.” I think out loud inside my head. Priorities.

I make fast Work of the last of my provisions. No fork(s).

“There’s a good place to lay down.”

“I need to stretch out.”

“ahhh, that feels good.”

“I’ll see ya in a minute Wilson”
