And not the kind you eat – the kind that eats you.!!!

I crossed the openness behind Heart Lake and started down into the ravine that acts like a moat to the Escarpment.
Since it’s sheltered there’s some stands of aspens. On one of them was a sign. I sure wish it read,
“Bear claws, various flavors – $2.50 each. Get ’em while they’re hot.!”
But, NNOOOOO !!!!! These are the kind that eat you. And they’ll do it for free. Makes me think of Jurassic Park, when Sam Neill says to the kid, regarding velociraptors,
“Just remember, you’re alive when they start to eat you.”
That’s really hard to wrap your head around.
Made me do a bit of a wide sweep of the area. I’ll also be on the lookout for scat and tracks from here on out.
In my new-found circumspection I thought I spied something. Something that was outta place. Off in the distance.

I had to go see. Ya never know what I’m gonna find.
“We’re not in Kansas, anymore Toto.”
Maybe more “signs”.
After not very far, I can make out what looks to be something white. A few more steps closer and I can see it’s a piece of paper. With some drawing on it.
A couple more feet closer and,
WHOA.!!!!
You’re not gonna believe this, but, it’s the paper from inside my front door with the Fibonacci sign on it. Stuck to a tree. It’s gotta be from Wilson. Gotta be.!!!

Instantly I do a 360 swing to see if anyone is around.
No one.
But, there can’t be any doubt I’m on the right trail. But, why isn’t he here? What’s with all the clues?
I decide to take the “note”. I don’t wanna leave any signs for anyone else to be sneakin’ up behind me.
I look for an easy way up the Escarpment. Gotta push. I’m close.
Right about now I’m sure glad I have that extra PBJ sandwich.

I liked it better!
