TREES

I was having my breakfast tea – Earl Grey, or Irish Breakfast –
when Wilson,
sitting in his breakfast nook,
with his buddies,
the orchids, and cactus,
and the “flash-charred” treetop of an evergreen from the fire last summer,

outta nowhere, said to me,

“I like TREES.”

Random – YES.

Understandable? – YES.

All I could do was nod a “YES” back,

and pound over my heart w/ a clinched fist,

and point right at Wilson.

He nodded back.
